ABOUT THE ARTIST

Catherine Elena; 28 year-old New Jersey native.

My eye has always been drawn to the balance between darkness and light–between heaviness and fragility. These are the spaces I like to capture. 

My work is a combination of conceptual, stylized scenes and real, raw moments.  Finding the balance between the two can be somewhat challenging, but the challenge is what I love. I have the ability to both express ideas through fine art, and through a documentary style of shooting. I want to capture the in-betweens, the moments with vulnerability and no inhibitions.
